Terramar is involved with a number of charitable endeavours in Los Cabos including:
Pumitas of Los Cabos
At Christmas, Terramar donates gifts for kids between 6 and 14 to Pumitas of Los Cabos. A non-profit organization, Pumitas of Los Cabos helps and promotes the sport, cultural, educational and family integration in the area particularly to sons and daughters of fisherman of La Playa, La Choya, San Vicente and El Rincon.
C.A.R.E. – Humane Society
Promotes responsibility and respect for animal life in San Jose del Cabo. This organization holds different events each year to help raise funds and awareness. Terramar lends its support at these events by donating our transportation services.
Amigos de Los Ninos
This non-profit organization brings together doctors from the U.S. and Mexico who donate their services to help the underprivilaged and sick children of Los Cabos. Terramar is happily involved to help out.
Liga MAC
A registered Mexican charitable organization made up of U.S., Canadian and Mexican members, Liga MAC organizes fundraising activities to help the less fortunate in Los Cabos. Terramar has donated services such as transportation for special events.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility has become the ‘buzz term’ for giving back. Terramar is involved in many community initiatives to support children, women, education, music and health initiatives. We screen opportunities from bonafied sources and community outreach programs that can be easily formatted into programs for the entire or smaller groups, so visiting companies can also encourage this practice on site
.
Sustainability
At Terramar, we have awakened the growing need and demand for conscious living, working, traveling, and rewarding. We hope to plant the seed of change, and begin whatever steps within our company and other organizations to help contribute to world and community sustainability.
Initiatives focused on our planet’s health include ‘going green’ during programs in small ways, but ways that count. Poly-carbonate drink bottles that are long term event memorabilia, function well for bulk beverage options throughout the program and steer us away from plastic bottles, which last for thousands of years in land fills. Paperless registration for tour and activity options and dine-around will save paper and allow participants to have easy access to choices, even before the program. On site printing of program materials to be given on site, to avoid the long distance ‘eco cost’ as well as the expense of shipping and customs. We also provide customized USB ports or memory sticks with program materials, as opposed to excessive hand outs. These are just a few examples of initiatives that Terramar is prepared to support you with.
